Bill & Karen Shaw were married in 1973. Bill has been involved in rodeo since 1966. At a young age, he rode bareback horses and bulls in high school. He competed at the Texas State Finals and qualified for the NHSFR. He was a PRCA bullfighter from 1978-83. He fought bulls at the 1981 NFR and was on the Wrangler Pro Rodeo Bullfighting Tour in 1982. Karen grew up showing and training Paint Horses. She is a former PRCA Speciality Act Performer and also showed and trained Quarter Horses for several years. Their only son, Hayden, was born in 1989.
In May of 1991, Christian Cowboys Who Care Ministry was formed. Bill & Karen founded the Ministry, which is based out of Douglass, TX. Bill was saved in 1977. Karen was saved as a young girl, and then rededicated her life to Jesus Christ in 1977. They minister at high school rodeos in Texas and several bucking bull events across the country. They help lead the young cowboys and cowgirls of today to have a rewarding relationship with Jesus Christ. |
